One of the most stressful things that ever have to be planned is the wedding. It is stressful not for the planners but it is stressful for the bride. The tasks are numerous, they are tedious, and can cause emotional pain. Usually the bride has probably planned her dream wedding when she was five years old and has a specific set of ideas on how her wedding should turn out.
If you are the chosen photographer, it is very important for you to remember that it is not just the techniques of photography which you should be good at, you should also be good at knowing who the boss is at the wedding, and definitely that boss is the bride, and not someone else.
Make sure that the you talk to the bride and the groom about the style of photography they want. If it is a traditional wedding photography style she wants, then go traditional. If she wants surrealism, then give her surrealism. Her word is the final word. Do not let other people tell you otherwise for the bride who is disappointed will definitely demand a refund.
Get to know the personality of the blind so you know what she should look like in the pictures. Sometimes a photographer could totally miss out on a picture if you don’t know what can irritate the bride or make her enjoy.
Remember that the final work should make the bride happy with the photography results. If she is not happy, you will definitely know it. For one thing, she may just announce that you are not considerate enough to take pictures of an intimate wedding and that could ruin your business.
So remember, do not let others lead you to do things which you know the bride would not approve of. Make a checklist and make sure she checks it out for confirmation.
